Prior to your consultation you will be sent a digital questionnaire which you should complete in advance, this allows the clinician to gather all useful history so the session can be tailored to you.
Gemma, our specialist clinician will review your responses and use these to prepare for your face to face consultation, focusing on your individual needs and concerns. The 45 minute consultation will include a full assessment, advice and treatment plan. Any exercises prescribed can be set up on an app with interactive in app support.

This appointment includes an extended 75 minute face to face consultation to allow time for patients with complex cases or needs to discuss symptoms and cover all areas of concern.

New Patient - Complex Case - with Real Time Biofeedback Ultrasound Scan

As well as the in-depth consultation offered in our complex case appointment this 90 minute session also includes a real time ultrasound scan.
Real time ultrasound scanning by a physiotherapist is not a diagnostic scan. however it offer a valuable opportunity for patients to see their muscles and pelvic organs, be educated about their anatomy and the positions of their organs.
The real time scan will assess how effective your muscle contractions are and enable the clinical specialist Physiotherapist to develop an individualised treatment plan to optimise muscle strength and awareness. Improving your pelvic strength can be a key part of improving symptoms and reducing the impact on your daily life.

This extended 60 minute session with our specialist clinician Gemma builds on our Mummy MOT and allows more time to discuss your delivery, recovery or post natal concerns. Perfectly suited for new mums who feel their post natal journey has been more challenging either clinically or emotionally. The package includes a bespoke exercise rehab programme, a 30 minute follow up consultation and one real time ultrasound scan to help you better understand your symptoms.
The Specialised Postnatal Assessment and Check up is a thorough assessment covering whatever areas of your recovery you wish to focus on. i.e. pelvic floor, perineal stitches, abdominal scars, bladder, bowel or pelvic pain. Your specialised clinician Gemma will then link in with your GP or consultant if needed.
This then leads on to a 4 week exercise programme via an app with online support. Individually designed for you this programme will provide specific rehab for your symptoms using the latest research and evidence. This programme aims to restore confidence, create foundations for every day life (lifting car seats) or return to exercise.

Your specialised clinician Gemma will then link in with Rose our strength and conditioning coach to design your programme based on your clinical assessment.

Real Time Ultrasound Appointment

This appointment is for patients who have already had an initial new patient consultation. Real time ultrasound scans are able to assess the Pelvic floor, check for Diastasis or measure Pre and post void bladder volume. it can also be valuable in biofeedback treatment.
Real time ultrasound scanning by a physiotherapist is not a diagnostic scan. The scan will not be assessing or diagnosing specific conditions, neither will it be able to diagnose any other concerns you may have with your pelvis.
It does however offer a valuable opportunity for patients to see their muscles and pelvic organs, be educated about their anatomy and the positions of their organs. The real time scan will assess how effective your muscle contractions are and enable the clinical specialist Physiotherapist to develop an individualised treatment plan to optimise muscle strength and awareness.
